Recycle and Buy Recycled

RWI has partnered with Planet Green Recycle Program to raise funds for our children's education and to help make the planet greener. There are three ways you can help:

  • When you upgrade your cell phones to newer models or replace your printer catridges, PDA, Ipod/MP3, Ipad/Tablets, or other small electronics, please consider saving them to recycle with Planet Green. When you get 20 or more items, you can send them to Planet Green using a pre-paid UPS label.To print out a pre-paid UPS shipping label, go to this site and click on "download shipping label": http://www.planetgreenrecycle.com/rootsandwings. It will ask you to enter your name so that we know who donated the catridges.
  • You can help fund Roots & Wings International by buying recycled high-quality re-manufactured ink jet cartridges at Planet Green. You save up to 70% buying high quality re-manufactured ink jet cartridges compared to buying the original brands. Roots & Wings International will receive 15% donation of every ink jet cartridge you purchase.
  • You can also help to create more awareness of this recycling program by spreading the word to friends, especially those who print a lot such as friends who are realtors or real estate brokers.

Recycling empty printer cartridges and small electonics not only helps to change lives of indigenous children living in rural Guatemala, it also reduces landfill waste and improves our environment.
