Cruz Ajpop Guarchaj
Cruz Ajpop Guarchaj was born on October 17, 1987, and he is the second of seven siblings. He lives in Caserío Chuimazá, in the village of Xejuyup, Nahualá, Sololá. Since 2009 he has been studying Business Administration at the Universidad Mariano Gálvez in Guatemala.
His main goal is to keep studying and become the best professional. He is the only one in his family who attends college. Once he graduates, he would like to work for an agency and create his own business, to serve the community and put to practice the knowledge he has attained through education.
In mid-January 2011, Cruz started to work in rural areas as a popularizer of the program MOSCAMED, created to eradicate the plague of the Mediterranean fruit fly. (Meet more scholars...)
