The Foundation Beyond Belief Scholarship
Foundation Beyond Belief is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation created to focus, encourage and demonstrate humanist generosity and compassion. Our mission is to demonstrate humanism at its best by supporting efforts to improve this world and this life, and to challenge humanists to embody the highest principles of humanism, including mutual care and responsibility.
We select and feature secular-friendly charitable organizations in specific cause areas like health, poverty, human rights, peace, education, children, animals, and the environment. Carefully selected for impact and efficiency, our featured beneficiaries may be founded on any worldview so long as they act in accordance with humanist values including mutual care, responsibility, and free inquiry and do not proselytize. At the end of each quarter, 100 percent of the donations is forwarded and a new slate of beneficiaries selected.
The Foundation also sponsors Volunteers Beyond Belief, a network of humanist volunteer teams in 12 U.S. cities, and Humanist Crisis Response, raising funds and awareness for major humanitarian crises worldwide.
