50 Great Reasons Campaign
|
RWI is moving quickly to build our 50 Great Reasons Campaign. Our multi-talented team of volunteers is investing much time and effort to ensure that we raise money for 50 new university scholarships in 2011. The team is creating a landing page for the campaign, submitting public service announcements for broadcast and creating a completely fresh, new YouTube video about RWI’s progress and programs to date. RWI volunteers will be working diligently during 2010 to make sure 50 Guatemalan youth can begin their path to a brighter future in 2011.

Featured Volunteer:
Shadi Mirza, Twitter Lead
Shadi is our invaluable Twitter lead who updates Tweets on our Twitter site. He also has provided editorial support for the RWI 2010 Annual Report. Shadi has worked seamlessly on grant proposals as well. His work is top-notch and we value his creative approach.
Here’s what Shadi has to say about his free time: “I enjoy blogging about life in South Korea (where I teach English), reading about political issues, playing video games, and watching documentaries. I enjoy working for RWI because I was raised with an understanding of the importance of higher education and know how difficult it can be to survive without a quality education. I admire RWI's mission to bring higher education to indigenous children and want to help RWI achieve its goals through my writing.”
